Just Praying

I am working on school work and just began to pray for the Gathering. About the different members and where they are on their journeys with Christ. I have realized that this is a home for some, a stepping stone for others, and nothing to some people.

I pray for the souls of all those who have entered the realm of the Gathering and hope that each journey has been moved closer to Father, rather than self.

God is trying to teach me about the meaninglessness of the concept of "self". What does self really mean? How is the Gathering helping you understand that God is ALWAYS greater than self.

Just a thought, what do you think?

I can relate with your statement on what the gathering means to different people. It parallels my youth group.

i honestly dont know ... i dont know that the gathering has helped me grow in humility .. other than the fact that I sing and I'm really not all that talented at all. To be honest, I dont really know what has been the biggest thing I have learned from the Gathering. It has showed me that I mst know the Word more for people who have questions because the Word is the only sure and solid foundation from which I can answer them. Should I answer from experience? No because we all have different experiences and feelings and those are genuine things, but not authoritative. I guess I really dont know...
